Static anemometer. Based on calorimetric philosophy and running on BlueWire network this special anemometer is transmitting weather data over the internet through its special flash based application Project overview
The main idea is to create a sensor that is able to detect stream direction of fluids, in this case air, with no moving parts. No bearing, no brass rings, no rotating equipment.

A team of 8 sensors are monitoring the energy state of a common to most of the sensors element, the result is being feed in a group of algorithms that calculate wind direction and wind speed.
For the moment the sensor is placed in a testing site collecting data on a server which is also a web server in the same time hosting a nice flash application.

data logging and configuration application (click to enlarge) The live as well as the logged data are then exchanged between the appplication above and a flash application which is built as a HMI application in order to transform the collected data in a more user friendly form.
